No Reference Number appears on the Confirmation page or email?
Answer:
If your booking has not been issued a confirmation reference number then the booking has failed due to a network break in communication during the final booking process, we recommend that you make the booking online again.
Question:
Will I earn points as a Lodger Club member if I do a BID booking on www.bid2stay.co.za?
Answer:
No, the www.bid2stay.co.za website is not linked to the Lodger Club.
Question:
Will I earn points if I make a booking but have not signed in to My Account?
Answer:
No, all Lodger Club members must be signed in each time they make a booking to earn or redeem points.

Troubleshooting browser problems
Page cannot be displayed error message
1. Please click Tools, then Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced Tab, scroll down to the Browsing title, make sure you have the following checkboxes UNTICKED:
- Show friendly HTTP error messages
3. Click the Advanced Tab, scroll down to the Security title, make sure you have the following checkboxes TICKED:
- Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
- Use SSL 2.0
- Use SSL 3.0
- Use TLS 1.0
3. Once you have enabled them, click Apply then OK.

Java problems
Internet Explorer 5.x-6.x for Windows
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
- Click Custom level button at bottom. The Security Settings dialog box will pop up.
- Under Scripting category enable Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script and Scripting of Java applets
- Click OK twice to close out.
- Hit Refresh.

1. Click Tools at the top of the browser, and then click Internet Options below.
2. Click the Privacy tab at the top of the new window
3. Move the slider to "Medium". Or alternatively -
4. Click the Edit button on the Sites box, and then type in the following web address: www.citylodge.co.za, click on the Allow button for the address entered, and then click OK.
5. Click Apply on the privacy window that remains
Note: The second option listed above will maintain the Medium level of security for all other websites, but help you take advantage of the City Lodge website experience.

Upgrade Your Browser to 128-Bit SSL Encryption
We have recently upgraded the features and functionality of the City Lodge website. In order to support these changes we have upgraded to a system that requires a Web browser with a level of security encryption of at least 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer, a commonly-used protocol for managing the security of a message transmission on the Internet).
You may upgrade your browser to 128-bit SSL encryption and then return to the site to register or login.
